Our Family

Each of the staff members at Legacy Funeral Home are committed to providing your family with the finest in personal care. In fact, for years, it’s been comforting for area families to know that we are available to help at any time of the day or night.

When a loved one dies, all you need to do is make one phone call. From that moment on, we’ll take on the responsibilities of the physical care of your loved one, and the emotional care of those left behind.

Please take a few minutes to get to know our staff. We’re sure you’ll find each of us to be all that you would hope for in a trusted funeral professional.

    Jerry Hubbard

Owner & Chief Executive Officer/President | Licensed Funeral Director | Mortuary Science Practitioner | Certified Crematory Operator

Jerry Hubbard has dedicated more than 25 years to funeral service, building a career grounded in compassionate care, professional excellence, and service to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

A graduate of mortuary science and a Licensed Funeral Director, Mortuary Science Practitioner, and Certified Crematory Operator, Jerry’s career has included extensive experience in funeral service, embalming, restorative and reconstructive care, cremation, and funeral-home operations. Before establishing his businesses in Western Colorado, his professional experience included serving families in California and working with complex and high-profile cases requiring exceptional discretion and attention to detail.

Today, Jerry serves as Owner and Chief Executive Officer/President of Hubbard & Sons LLC and leads a group of locally focused funeral and cremation operations serving families throughout Western Colorado. His work extends beyond day-to-day funeral service into crematory operations, professional leadership, staff development, and advocating for high standards within the funeral profession.

Jerry is also actively involved in the funeral-service profession at the national level. In 2025, he was recognized as an IMPACT 1000 member of the Funeral Service Foundation, reflecting his commitment to the future of funeral service, professional education, and strengthening the profession for the families it serves.

Before his career in funeral service, Jerry served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and served alongside the Marines of 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines. His commitment to fellow veterans remains an important part of both his personal life and his work in funeral service. He has continued to support veterans and their families through community service, military honors, and efforts to ensure veterans receive the dignity and recognition they have earned.

Jerry has also been a longtime advocate for professionalism, accountability, and stronger standards within Colorado funeral service. He believes families deserve transparency, integrity, and confidence in the professionals they entrust with the care of someone they love.

Despite the growth of the businesses he leads, Jerry remains deeply connected to the reason he entered funeral service in the first place: serving people. He believes a funeral home should never feel like a corporation serving a customer—it should feel like neighbors caring for neighbors.

For Jerry, funeral service is more than a profession. It is a responsibility, a calling, and a privilege to care for families when they need someone they can trust.
