    With 25 years of experience in the profession, Jerry is committed to excellence in the industry. He has a degree in Mortuary Science specializing in reconstruction and high-profile families in the Laguna Beach and Palm Springs areas of California.

     

    His family is native to the Western Slope since the 1880s.  Jerry started his medical career by enlisting as a Combat Corpsman in the United States Navy and crossed over to 3rd Battalion/ 8th Marines with the U.S. Marine Corps.


    Jerry relocated to the Grand Valley after spending a year in the Caribbean to become a Handicap Scuba Instructor for Veterans with disabilities. “The underwater environment provides a freedom I wish to share with those who are no longer able to use their limbs. I just wanted to give back to those who gave so much.”


    He enjoys fishing, visiting the mountains and enjoying time with Julie and their recently adopted daughter Kailani.

    Julie  joined  Legacy Funeral Home a little over 2 years ago. Her responsiblities include arranging every aspect of the services in a way that will do justice to both the person who passed and their remaining family members and friends. She also takes care of paperwork involved with your loved ones death.  


    She has previously worked in nursing homes and special care units for the elderly and has a strong passion for taking care of others in need and supporting you throughout this process.


    Julie carries a full plate as she works full time at Legacy while tending to her family and household.  She enjoys scrapbooking, researching her family history and spending time with Jerry and their recently adopted daughter Kailani.

    Tammy is a licensed insurance agent with Homesteaders Life Company which provides insurance benefits for final expenses to its members. Tammy prepares your pre-need insurance paperwork.  She focus's on helping individuals with pre-planning their funeral and burial insurance plans.


     She is committed to providing the highest level of customer service to meet her client's needs. Having worked for local government and in the oil and gas industry for several years, she is very familiar with all areas of Western Colorado. 


    As a Colorado native, born and raised in Grand Junction, Tammy is firmly established in her community and church family. She has served on the board for the Grand Valley Kennel Club for the past 6 years and is actively involved in training and competing with her fur-baby's in AKC Performance Sports. She is owned by two English Setter's – Titus and Levi, a Border Collie – Lucy and an Irish Red & White Setter - Zella.. She is also currently an active member of the Palisade Chamber of Commerce. 


    Tammy looks forward to meeting with you and assisting you in setting up your pre-need insurance plan and to meet your goals and expectations.

    Brenden is apprenticing to become a lisenced embalmer and Funeral Director under Jerry's direct supervision. He also assists with transporting your loved one at their time of passing.  


    Brenden is originally from the West Coast and is preparing to attend Mortuary College next fall.  He recently joined our family, and likes the daily challenges in assisting those in need.
